The Bad News and The Good News. You choose.

God is Three distinct Persons:

The Father
The Son &
The Holy Spirit

God created us to live Eternally with Him (forever).

But He did not create us as robots where we are forced to love Him, He created us in His likeness and image so we are freely able to love Him and choose Him. The flip side is we are freely able to reject Him & not choose Him.

God is the Source of ALL life, so if you have free will to choose God Who is Life, you must also have the free will (or it wouldn't be free will) to reject God choosing the opposite of Life which is, “Death”.

And this is what 'sin' is, the free will rejection of God & so because of sin, "Death" is the penalty.

So Adam and Eve were created with free will by the Will of God, (because He created them in His image and likeness) to obey and do it His Way, or reject God and do it their own way.

The Devil tempted them to "choose" their way and NOT God's Way, by affect they chose Death & not Life.

So sin entered the world along with all pain and suffering and death.

But God loves us so much, He made a promise so we can still be with Him Eternally like He created us to be.

The Devil thought he won and now death entered the world but God told the Devil how He would conquer death.

This is the very first prophecy in the Bible... Where God tells the Devil about the woman (who is the Blessed Virgin Mary) & her offspring (Who is Jesus Christ).

Genesis 3:15
{I [God] will put enmity between you [the Devil] and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; They will strike at your head, while you strike at their heel.}

Adam and Eve passed sin on to us and this is called, “Original Sin”.  The reason why we are Baptized is to wash away the Original Sin, but we still have our free will to choose God / Life, or reject God & choose sin/ death.

Since Adam and Eve passed on Original Sin to us and it is in our blood because we inherited it from our first parents. To make atonement for your sins a blood sacrifice was required and a priest would offer a lamb for your sins.

But Christ Who is called the Lamb of God, to be for is the once and for all Sacrifice, to take away the sins of the world. And this is what happens at every Mass, the re-presentation of the Sacrifice on the Cross. The Finished work of Christ.

Since we all sinned, we all deserve Death. However God the Son, became a man, born of the Virgin Mary conceived by God the Holy Spirit to gives us LIFE.

So God took on a Human body, to offer Himself as the Blood Sacrifice as an atonement for our sins.

He came and took on Death so we can have Life.

But again we have free will and we can reject Him.

It is said He doesn't send no one to Hell, they freely go there themselves. They say to themselves, "I'll do it my way & NOT His Way!"

He also established a visible, Catholic Church and told that visible, Catholic Church He would be with them until the ends of the ages and the gates of hell shall not prevail against her.

And thanks be to God, He is still with the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. The 4 marks that identify His Church.

Physically He is with us in the Holy Eucharist and Spiritually in our hearts as we are the Temples of the Holy Spirit once we are Baptized.

This is the Good News.
